How to install textile window film
1. My window is smaller than 1.37m in at least one direction
Our rolls are standard 1.37m wide. This means you will only need to place one piece of SQUID on your window. You can install either horizontally or vertically.
Step 1: Degreasing
Clean and degrease the glass carefully with warm water and ammonia (or alcohol). Then dry the window with a lint-free cloth.
Step 2: Cutting
Measure the window in height and width. Cut SQUID roughly to size. Keep an overlap of 3-5cm.
Step 3: Application
Peel off the top 20cm of SQUID and position it on the window. Peel off 20cm at a time and apply without tension.
Step 4: Trimming
Cut off the 2-5cm excess edges. Use the spatula as a spacer to ensure 2-3mm of space between SQUID and the silicone edge. Use a new blade every 2-3m to prevent fraying.
Step 5: Activating
Use the spatula to press SQUID firmly against the glass to activate the adhesive layer. Exert sufficient pressure (approx. 10 kg).
2. My window is larger than 1.37m in both directions
For large windows, you will need to put two pieces of SQUID side-by-side to cover the area. You can install these in a way that you will not see the seam. Follow the steps in the video for a perfect installation.
You can install either horizontally or vertically, as long as both pieces are installed in the same direction.

Cut off the 2-5cm excess edges. Use the spatula as a spacer to ensure 2-3mm of space between SQUID and the silicone edge. Use a new blade every 2-3m to prevent fraying.
Step 5: Creating the invisible seam
Use the 3-layer overlap method to create a nearly invisible seam.
Install two pieces of SQUID and ensure they overlap by 5cm. Place a third piece underneath both layers. There should be a zone where 3 pieces of SQUID overlap. Use a sharp blade and cut through all three layers at once. Carefully remove all excess strips and loose pieces. The two pieces of SQUID will now meet perfectly edge-to-edge, creating a seamless finish.
Step 6: Activating
Use the spatula to press SQUID firmly against the glass to activate the adhesive layer. Exert sufficient pressure (approx. 10 kg).
