SQUID is an elegant window foil made of woven textile with a warm linen look. The transparent version protects against looking in during the day while you continue to look outside yourself. Choose the opaque finish for extra privacy in the evening.

Reduce heat, reflection in screens, and UV
SQUID offers 3-4°C cooling inside, reduces reflections in screens, and protects furniture and clothing from discoloration by UV radiation.

Easy to apply to any window
SQUID is self-adhesive and is applied directly onto the glass, without drilling or profiles. Simply cut it to size for straight, sloped, and even round windows. Even large glass surfaces can be covered seamlessly and virtually invisibly.

1. Buy the samples
Buy one or both sample sets on our website. A set contains all available colors in a chosen transparency (Transparent or Opaque).

2. Test at home
You will receive all 6 colors of your selected sets in your mailbox. Stick the samples on your window and decide which one you like best!

3. Claim back the costs
With your samples, you will receive a discount code to reclaim the full cost of the samples upon your first SQUID purchase on the webshop. Enter the discount code on the checkout page.

Do-it-yourself
You can easily install SQUID yourself. To do so, follow our installation guide.

Step 1: Degreasing
Clean and degrease the glass carefully with warm water and ammonia or alcohol. Then dry the window with a lint-free cloth.

Step 2: Cutting
Measure the window in height and width. Cut the SQUID, keeping an overlap of 3-5 cm on each side into account.

Step 3: Application
Peel off the foil little by little (per 20 cm), while applying the SQUID onto the window without tension. Preferably from top to bottom and from the center outwards.

Step 4: Trimming
Place the spatula next to the silicone edge of the window and hold the knife against the inside of the spatula. Cut off the 2-5 cm excess edges. Use a new blade every 2-3 m to prevent fraying.

Step 5: Activating
Use the spatula to press SQUID firmly against the glass to activate the adhesive layer. Exert sufficient pressure (approx. 10 kg) to activate the adhesive layer.

Step 6: Done!

SQUID is treated standard with a dust-repellent coating, making it difficult for dirt to adhere and keeping maintenance minimal.

No special maintenance required.
Thanks to the dust-repellent treatment, SQUID remains clean for a long time. Moreover, SQUID is also anti-bacterial for use in hospitals.

Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner
Still spotting dust or spider webs? Then use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush head to carefully clean SQUID.

Clean light stains with a microfiber cloth
You can easily remove small stains or dirt with a slightly damp microfiber cloth.

Use a textile cleaner for stubborn stains
For more difficult stains, you can use a textile cleaner. SQUID simply remains on the window during cleaning.

By default, the calculator takes into account an extra margin of 3 cm on all sides so you can cut SQUID to size on the window. The direction is set standard so that the pieces are placed from top to bottom. For optimal fabric consumption, you can check whether placing from left to right is more advantageous.

The calculation tool ensures that all pieces of SQUID are always placed in the same direction. This gives you the most beautiful result. After calculating, you will see how many linear meters you need and you will get a handy cutting plan that shows how you can cut the different windows from the roll.

A small tip: print out the cutting plan and keep it handy until you receive your SQUID.

What about high-efficiency glass HR++(+)?
In general, SQUID can be applied to HR++ and HR+++. This is because SQUID has an open textile structure, allowing heat to escape and thus preventing glass breakage. On high-efficiency glass, we do ask to avoid the most extreme situations: the glass must be completely covered and the black color (SQUID Coal) must be avoided.
